The Superior Courthouse in the city of Pasadena sustained significant damage during the 1994 Northridge earthquake. Simpson & Simpson served as construction manager for the repair which included over 5,200 linear feet of epoxy injection into cracked structural concrete floors and walls. For additional structural strengthening, fiber-reinforced polymer wraps were applied to bond second and third floor members. The project also included remediation of hazardous materials, including asbestos, and restroom upgrades to comply with ADA requirements.
